💜 The story behind this image

This portrait was taken during my time in Kathmandu, Nepal. A quiet moment shared with a Sadhu; a spiritual devotee who has renounced the material world to walk a path of divine devotion.

Although this portrait was captured with permission and reciprocal exchange, it has been gently held for some time now. I've hesitated to offer this particular piece, but feel called to share it for the medicine it holds. This image is more than a photograph, it is a taonga. A sacred treasure.

This gaze invites you to slow down, to look beyond the surface, and to remember the depth of your own soul’s knowing. May it help you to remember your highest purpose upon this Earthly plane, and connect you to the ancestral wisdom that is lovingly assisting you during this incarnation.
