🩵 The story behind this image

This day felt like the breaking point. Our group was pushing toward Thorong La Pass base camp, a relentless climb to 4,540m. I was completely spent — physically, mentally, and emotionally. With every step, the air grew thinner, the path steeper, and the weight of my pack heavier. I remember feeling the sheer exhaustion of it all, unable to even lift my camera to capture the landscapes around me. But then, something shifted. It was as if a surge of energy swept through me, a powerful reminder that I was not alone. Call it delirium or divine presence, but I felt my father’s spirit walking beside me, urging me to keep moving.

As I crested a ridge, I saw one of our Nepalese guides standing motionless, his gaze fixed on the mountain ahead. In that moment, it was as if he was speaking with the ancestors, listening to the whispers that drifted through the thin mountain air. I reached for my camera, the strength to lift it coming from somewhere deep within.

This image is a reminder that in those moments of perceived weakness, we are often closest to our own power. That the mountains, with all their ancient wisdom, hold conversations we may not hear but can certainly feel. It’s a moment of pause, of reverence, and of feeling the profound connection between this world and the unseen.
